Tuesday, September 14, 2021 - Savoury and mineral. Bacon fat, red plums and blackberries with dried bay leave and clove defined the balanced initial impression. Smell almost like a robust rustic meat stew. Palate is quite choppy, there are some degree of roughness at the edges which need time to smoothen. Full-bodied. Dry fruits and minerality followed through from entry to a finish filled with notes of eucalyptus, hints of bitter tannins and gravel stones. A few years of aging will develop that bold country characteristics with better finesse.
