Intense! Black fruit up front with a wave of sweetness which evokes blackberry and raisin. This gives way to an herb note from the aroma which carries into the palate, and eventually becomes spicy black pepper in the finish. Salty mineral character makes itself known, and the tannic grip and structure ties the whole thing together. Although this is intense it does not feel "tight" and should be fine to drink now.
