Sunday, October 24, 2021 - Lovely colour, brick red rim with a dark centre. Nose is interesting, somewhat cheesy, notes of vanilla and black cherry, complex and persistent. Palate is medium bodied, a little sweet cherry and red plum fruit at first, tannins are still there, pretty dry with a leathery woody texture. Decent enough acidity, but lacks a little zip on the finish. This was better than the last showing, and is for sure a very good value, but not a compelling wine for me.
