  Muted nose but upon opening two hours opened. Red fruit (cherry and some raspberry) with little oak or tannins and medium acid. Surprisingly long finish with some iodine? Delicious with grilled filet mignon with herb baste and caramelized brussel sprouts. Interesting how pairing can impact tasting.

  With a lot of time open this blew off some must and was a delightful accompaniment to a middle eastern style Shabbat dinner.

  Lovely colour, brick red rim with a dark centre. Nose is interesting, somewhat cheesy, notes of vanilla and black cherry, complex and persistent. Palate is medium bodied, a little sweet cherry and red plum fruit at first, tannins are still there, pretty dry with a leathery woody texture. Decent enough acidity, but lacks a little zip on the finish. This was better than the last showing, and is for sure a very good value, but not a compelling wine for me.
