Tuesday, December 14, 2021 - Deep, dark garnet, inky, opaque in color. Full, fragrant & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of dark cherries, blackberries & cassis with overtones of earthy/dusty notes, spices & herbs, some mint notes, mocha & a hint of oak/vanilla in the background. Full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, plush, ripe fruit flavors of sweet cherries, mulberries & cassis with spices, herbs, minerals, cocoa & a hint of oak/vanilla. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present, but has the fruit & structure to develop further with additional aging. However, it does seem as if it was meant for near to mid-term drinking. This vintage is a blend of 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 26% Cabernet Franc, 6% Syrah & 4% Petite Verdot.
