Saturday, December 25, 2021 - Penultimate of 6 bottles, last tasted 15 months ago.
The wine was paired with a beautiful, medium rare, slow roasted beef tenderloin, and enjoyed over Christmas lunch with our entire family.
Notes of cassis, wet tobacco leaf, graphite, wet soil, blackberry pie, and plum skin.
The wine is medium in body, with resolved tannins and perfectly balanced acidity, keeping the finish on this mature Bordeaux beautifully tight and reeled in. Very nice, as it has been on the past few occasions. Drink through 2023+.
