Tuesday, February 22, 2022 - My first of 4 btls. Opened 2-1/2 hrs prior to dinner & chose to slow-ox in Riedel Burgs & btl till dinner. Semi opaque ruby red. I kind of underestimated its youthful structure expecting it to fully resolve by dinner. In spite of some silty tannins there is some early enjoyment to be had with time in the glass and especially, w/ food. Reserved aromatics of roses & faint underbrush. Dark cherry, mineral, spice & more fleeting underbrush. I'll definitely wait till 2026+ for my next one. Needs 10+ from release. 13%alc.
