Saturday, February 26, 2022 - Decanted for about 8 hours. This was the best bottle I have had of this wine, despite a beaten up, old moldy label. Previous bottles never seemed to open, and came across as a little muddled, if that makes sense. This one seemed more focused, balanced and complex. I served this blind to a few friends and they all thought the wine was much younger than it is. Where the Giacosa was more red fruited, this is all darker tones. One of my favorite wines of the evening.
