Sunday, March 13, 2022 - From 1.5 ml magnum. Nose showed lots of saddle leather and earthy aromas, some subtle piney red fruit.

Palate was very rewarding with earthy red and black cherry accented by leather and earthy notes that are perfectly balanced. The red fruit was still quite fresh and the tannin mostly integrated, but still slightly firm, giving the wine good weight and structure on the long cherry/earth flavored silky finish.

Excellent Barbaresco, this larger format bottle easily could have made its 20th birthday. I would drink the 750ml bottles soon.
