95 Points

Friday, March 18, 2022 - There is not only herbal intensity; it’s luscious like fresh coriander. Precise, with a charming personality! 95p for the first small glass on its own, 94p for the second small glass with food (pork; potato wedges; tamari & cream sauce; fresh shredded beetroot, arugula, baby spinach and red chard; szechuan pepper). Some gorgeous sips on day 2, with some darker fruit emerging, definitely tip the score upwards.

On the topic of quantity, an advantage of a wine like this is that you don’t want to blunt yourself to the finely chiselled details, so you’re motivated not to drink too much.

With all the suffering going on in the world, I feel guilty drinking stuff like this. But it was cheaper than tenderloin.
