Deep and dark the fruit is mostly blackberry and dark plum. There was a line of minerality running through the wine. Very balanced and drinking well now, it should drink well for a long time. Not as “rich” as some previous vintages but still full bodied. Tannins are present but integrated. Held up well to grilled strip steak. Finish is moderate.
