The flavours are strong spicy but also some bitterness. It has some raw astringency which detracts from the wine. I bought a few so Ill out it away for a few years and see if it improves. I had it with some prime T Bone steak from our butcher of choice in Wonthaggi, Mitchell and Co. I should have chosen a different wine
