2012 Quixote Petite Sirah Block 12

Community Tasting Note

Does not like this wine:

85 Points

Saturday, June 25, 2022 - 90 min double decant. Nearly opaque magenta color. Teriyaki, mushroom, rose petals, and frankincense on the nose. Dry, gritty palate. Firm tannins on the longish finish.

It’s hard to find any fruit here, it’s all tertiary notes. This is way past its prime.

6/26/2022 4:01:00 PM - Thanks for the note, but that would be SUPER disappointing if this was way past it's prime. Had to have been an off bottle.

6/26/2022 4:06:00 PM - I feel like PS doesn’t age as well as CS. I’ll admit that I like my wine very fruit forward. Cheers my friend!

6/26/2022 5:45:00 PM - Fair enough!! I'll keep my fingers crossed that it was just an off bottle or a style preference as I have a few of these in the cellar (son's birth-year). Cheers man!
