Friday, July 29, 2022 - Knocked out by L-B 19 - incredibly impressed by the skills behind it. Deep, dark, dense, purple edges in appearance. Nose is v explicit, intense, powerful - bursting with black and blue fruits, cassis, blackberries, blueberries, smoke, spice. Palate is massively impressing already in mid-2022 - full-bodied, v intense, grippy tannic structure - yet so velvety, precise concentration in fruit, good acidity, elegance and purity in excess. Finish - spicy, dry, intriguing, layered - goes on forever. Smasher of the year!
