It took a jackhammer to get the cork out of this bottle. Why did we kill this baby? Evaluating young d’Yquem is a frustrating exercise for me to say the least. Picked up mostly apricot aromas and flavors, maybe with a little orange. I couldn’t get past the acidity in the wine. I’d say wait about seven more years and see how it comes together. Too tough to call right now.
