Wednesday, July 2, 2014 - Relatively light in colour. The nose is a tad high-toned, with a grassy character atop typical aromas of brown spice, candied orange peel, sugar cane, and a hint of mushroom. The palate is only moderately sweet, and demonstrates a fair bit of astringency. There's a citrus peel note that dominates the rather simple palate. Certainly not unpleasant but by no means a great bottle of Madeira.
