Tasted at Bern's Bronze color, but hazy Shy nose and palate couldn't quite decide what it was. A bit of an off-milk nose. Not crazy for Madeira -- where weird can be OK -- but not great.

The color is brown orange, translucent, with some haze. The aromas are hazle, porty, ginger, currants, prune, and toffee. The tatses are sweet butterscotch, toffee, ginger, salty spice, and sweet espresso. The finish is lengthy and sweet.

Relatively light in colour. The nose is a tad high-toned, with a grassy character atop typical aromas of brown spice, candied orange peel, sugar cane, and a hint of mushroom. The palate is only moderately sweet, and demonstrates a fair bit of astringency. There's a citrus peel note that dominates the rather simple palate. Certainly not unpleasant but by no means a great bottle of Madeira.

Notes of toffee and butterscotch with a little nuttiness. Medium-long finish. Very enjoyable. Drink or hold.
