Sunday, October 24, 2010 - Tasted at the winery in a food/wine pairing again all the new releases and this wine stood out from the entire release head and shoulders over their other reds, although the Meritage did have some med-term cellaring (very young and lot of tannins still). this wine was excellent with the pork tortellini's they served it with. I'd also say that while it is very good now, I can see where 2-3 years from now it will be MUCH better once it softens up a bit. Just a bit pricey for my taste... $50 for a Zin is very expensive IMHO.
