Friday, October 17, 2014 - From and excellent looking bottle, this wine had a gold center and light yellow rims. The high- intensity nose displayed pears, candied lemon, vanilla bean, and a hint of tobacco.

In the mouth this wine was ripe and rich and yet felt quite light and refined. It was beautifully balanced with crisp acidity supporting the ripe fruit. The finish was quite long.

This lovely wine appears to be at its zenith. While it will probably last for many years, I doubt it will get better (unless you like more tobacco oriented flavors than I do).
