91 Points

Monday, December 6, 2010 - Dark Red Color. Nose is initiallly red berries, but evolves to a more of a black fruit profile with cassis, Black cherry, Black Raspberry, with subtle earth, nice tobacco and coffee. The palate is medium full bodied and displays a nice core fruit that is consistent with the nose and there is a nice dusty quality too. Oak is present but restrained and there is a very good tannic structure. The wine has a plush mouthfeel and Medium plus finish. This was very good on day one, but it was MUCH better day 2 and day 3. This was probably 88-89 initially and now a solid 90-91. The structure is definitely there for this wine to improve with age, but if well decanted it is very nice now.
