This is my last of 5 bottles of this wine. Paid $23 for it in 2011, what a deal.
Everyone on CT who has rated this wine in 2017 gave it 90-93 points.
I agree, this wine was delicious with my leftover NYE pepperoni pizza today.
Black raspberry and plum on the nose, with intense black pepper flakes and an overriding smoky nuance.
The palate echoes the fruits from the nose, with the pepper and smoke, adding a refreshing degree of acidity and mostly resolved tannins after 10 years in bottle. The finish is very nice, this is a very good WFTM. Drink this wine now.
