Saturday, November 21, 2020 - Sojourn has, over the years, become an "old faithful" in my world. This wine , 11 years later still lives! Sojourn by its nature is a pinot which emphasizes darker fruits with a little more weight than one might expect from many pinots. After an hour or so, this wine developed a nose of dark cherry, and blue berries with a hint of young strawberry in the back. On the pallet, this medium bodied wine was still putting its best foot forward by delivering dark cherries with a hint of its age coming through in licorice and smoke flavors and as its nose begins to collapse after a few hours of air. Still good, but pull them out and drink them up!!
