Friday, February 24, 2012 - The Tres Picos Granacha is a medium bodied wine with a bright ruby hue. The nose has an expressive bouquet of black cherry, cedar and warm leather. Nicely soft and smooth in the mouth with tastes of black cherry, red raspberry carried on racy framework of razor sharp acidity. The finish has better than average length with black cherry, strawberry and more raspberry enveloped in the omni-present acidity. No doubt that this one with keep for quite a few years. While this will likely be very popular, the acidity is more than I prefer, especially with grenache. so oddly, I might recommend it to my friends, but not buy more for myself.
