Friday, August 17, 2012 - Decanted for 2.5 hours before service. In the glass, clear, pure red. On the nose, a blend of nutmeg, cinnamon, crushed dark fruit, and damp earth. On the palate, a beguiling blend of all of the aromatics, with secondary mineral notes and a very subtle touch of pine, all kept in balance. Definitely not an RRV fruit bomb, but this is in no way devoid of fruit, nor is it "tart and austere". Just very nicely balanced and satisfying. Quite possibly the best Kutch I've had to date. Very much looking forward to seeing how this one develops over the next few years.
