Saturday, January 5, 2019 - What a great bottle of wine! Still very much alive and structured with beautiful ripe blue and black fruit, tobacco, hints of espresso and eucalyptus. Very fine integrated tannins left a silky mouthfeel as well. As it opened, the coffee note burned off and I got more pronounced blueberry liqueur and tobacco notes. Reminded me of their Cabernet. Definitely a cab drinker’s merlot, as are most Spring Mountain merlots. Wouldn’t be surprised to see this hang on for another 5 to 10 years. Enjoy!
