Monday, October 6, 2014 - Excellent fruit backbone. Tart and lots of tannin; could probably use a few more years in the bottle, but clearly has the legs to do it. Decanting would likely have helped take it to a higher level. Nose seemed a little one-dimensional, at present, although I do get notes of licorice and cherries.
