Palate is medium weight with a mix of roasted cherry, licorice, chocolate and some chalky tannin on the finish. My wife makes a mixed berry cobbler and the mix of red/blue/black fruit she uses reminds me a little of that blended berry feel here. Not a bruiser but more subtle and even keeled.
