Monday, February 24, 2014 - Pure class. On the nose black olives, herbs, clove from the slightest touch of oak, and overall a wonderful sense of balance. And that's just the nose! In the mouth the 07 Lanzaga is smooth with not much grip; the tannins here are pure love. This goes down so easily. On the palate I get those same black olives and herbs along with a beautiful mineral finish. I'm reminded of the gorgeous 05 Riscal Reserva. This is a medium bodied beauty that, despite not having a lot of weight and force, will drink well for at least another seven years. Great wine but wow what a bad label. Looks like a cross between a bad dream and a Pink Floyd album cover. Drink by winter, 2022. All for 23 bones. Stellar deal.
