Saturday, February 27, 2016 - Medium ruby red in color with ever-so-slight clearing at the edges. Forward, attractive & fragrant nose of ripe fruits of red cherries, raspberries and currants with earthy & floral overtones, truffles, lavender, forest floor, exotic Asian spices, minerals, smoky & and hints of sous-bois in the background. Medium bodied with a good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of red cherries, strawberries & currants with earthy, spices, mushrooms, minerals, a touch of toasty oak. Long lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present and has some limited room for further development with an additional years or two of further aging.
