Sunday, August 17, 2014 - This has been decanted now for 2 1/2 hours. The nose is a earthy spice blended with a darker tone. This bottle seems slightly unbalanced but the fruit is a dark berry and plum with a little vanilla and almost balances out the acids. There is a lot of spice and earth on the palate and a rich velvety mouth feel. With dinner this was an easy 89, but finishing up our glass now, after dinner, it is slipping a bit.
