The first night featured a meaty nose with violets from the viognier, typical for a WW syrah. There was a big hole in the midpalate, though. The wine just didn't taste like much.

Second night the nost had mellowed to a more fruity, dark berry nose, with a palate to match. Not bad, but not very interesting either.
