95 Points

Saturday, March 10, 2012 - Snug but fully saturated cork; lilac, peat and currants on decant - 3 hour decant - glass nose: cedar, roasted blackberry jam, fresh cedar, light pencil and feint menthol and some quickly fading funk. Clear, med-dark color; no bricking. Sweet, nearly fully integrated tannis pull together the layers of dark berry, cassis, light black jam, cedar, and feint oak with roast plum through a med-long finish; all drenched the palate and became increasingly defined, rich and juicy while drinking the bottle. In a prime drinking window that should last, as is, for another 4-5 years. This classic Bordeaux is spectacular.
