Wednesday, August 8, 2012 - Decanted for 2+ hours and chilled slightly to around 57 degrees. Translucent to opaque deep ruby hues. Medium body and elegant legs. A bold nose with smoke, plums, raspberries, and hints of the higher alcohol content - The latter not being too distracting. Spice, dark berries, a dusty earthiness, and some alluring good ole' Walla Walla funk on the palette. Solid structure with velvety tannins. A well rounded wine with a long sexy finish. Drinks well now but would lay down for years to come.
