Friday, November 21, 2014 - Lighter, fading ruby color. Classic old Burgundy nose of sweet cherries, barnyard and pitched earth. Really ripe and succulent fruit with earthy cherry and cranberry flavors and crisp acids. Really holding up well although there is a metallic element that I find a bit off-putting. The finish is mildly complex with nice red spice and mineral notes. Fun to drink.
