Tuesday, January 1, 2013 - If you love a wine with power but also an unmistakable sense of place, this is everything you're looking for. Just awesome. Aromatics that plant you directly in the soil of the Northern Rhone. Wild herbs, olive tapenade, black pepper, lavender, blackberry, grilled beef. Long on the palate, with a focus like a husband watching a ballgame while his wife tries to break his concentration. Just tuned like a laser. And still quite primary, which is surprising for the vintage. Drink? Yep. Hold? Sure, for a while.
