Tuesday, August 13, 2013 - Beautiful dark cherry color, with a nose of dark cherries, cocoa and anise. Great legs. Full, rich and complex taste, bursting with ripe, juicy cherries and golden pie crust. Lite notes of herbs play on the front end, with a full fruit middle, and long, lingering finish, ending in notes of cocoa and pie crust. Tastes more leathery with food and the fruit layer is muted and the cocoa turns to dark, rich semi-sweet chocolate tones with foods such as balsamic vinegar and cheese. Really enhances the flavor of food.
