This has a lovely nose of earthy dark fruit. Rounded tannins lets the fruit shine. But this wine is mostly about entry and mid pallet. Limited finish but very enjoyable overall.

Beautiful dark cherry color, with a nose of dark cherries, cocoa and anise. Great legs. Full, rich and complex taste, bursting with ripe, juicy cherries and golden pie crust. Lite notes of herbs play on the front end, with a full fruit middle, and long, lingering finish, ending in notes of cocoa and pie crust. Tastes more leathery with food and the fruit layer is muted and the cocoa turns to dark, rich semi-sweet chocolate tones with foods such as balsamic vinegar and cheese. Really enhances the flavor of food.

This is in a bit of an inbetween phase. Popped and poured. Took an hour or so to open up. A neutral nose with a bit of funk. On the palate notes of dark cherry or bright plum with a hard finish. A slight meaty note floats in and out. Better the second day. Will hopefully evolve into a better wine in a year - has the structure to do so.

Inky, deep purple. Great fruit out of the bottle and surprisingly smooth finish. We really enjoyed this bottle.
