Sunday, April 9, 2006 - Found by pure luck for $4.99/btl at Cost Plus (California chain).
I also got a little petroleum on the nose as another reviewer commented, which is rather unpleasant. This goes away somewhat with a little sitting in the glass (or a decanter), and changes into more of a green apple peel smell. Typical yellow-green color, very clear. On the tongue, this riesling shines. Dry, Tart, mineral, lemon and grapefruit. The mineral notes hang on through the long finish. Would rate 90-91 if the initial smell had less petroleum.
