Monday, June 20, 2011 - I might ammend this rating later, the wine is just too young right now, but shows tremendous potential for such an affordable Oregon pinot. '08 is showing to be a great year already. Open and expressive earthy truffle and nutmeg, plum and cherry, vanilla, cigar box and sandalwood. Good acidity and sufficient tannin for a few more years of evolution. I would pair this with roasted game: Lamb, rabbit, duck, with a medley of seasoned roasted vegetables.
