Saturday, July 9, 2011 - Ruby red. Nose is red fruit and smoky incense. On the palate this has massive red fruit, rainier cherries, marionberry, slightly tart, with a mild tannic bite that gives the wine a dry feel. This doesn't have much in the way of secondary qualities I appreciate in a pinot, but the buckets of fruit in this bottle is impressive. After three days sitting out, this was still singing its tune. Very good quality.
