It's not way out of balance give the expression of the fruit now but it certainly seemed more tart than a red should be. On the second night this went more subtle showing some more mature leather and balsamic notes. I enjoyed this quite a bit. Really good but don't put it in front of wood-o-phobes. It is a classic Rioja in most respects.
