Friday, June 22, 2012 - Decanted off large amount of fine sediment. Brilliant dark red color with medium transparency. Aromas of brett. on the horse/animal end of the spectrum. With that is black cherry, tea, and some sous bois elements. The palate on this wine somehow keeps the brett. in check enough to land on the good side of the line for me. Black cherry, strawberry, leather, horse, and earth elements all work on a well-integrated spine of tannin and acid. The finish is medium-long. Superb. Drink or hold.
