Wednesday, March 9, 2011 - Decanted for 4 hours; not enough time. This wine is young and powerful. On this day the tannins were holding the fruit tightly. I really want to tell my wine friends I have had a 100 point wine, so I will go ahead and agree with Suckling on this one and why not. This wine has incredible promise: The Fruit is there; the structure is there, the tannins are there; they are just not all together yet. This will need at least 2 more years before I open my next bottle and plan to consume one per year for the next 12. Take some advice and wait a couple of years.
