Saturday, July 21, 2018 - Decanted thru strainer (some medium-sized sediment) and drank after 45 minutes. Ruby red, with a hint of brown and very slightly orange rim. Not as opaque as most Carlisles. Medium body, i.e., light for a Carlisle. Raspberry/strawberry, with good spice and hints of licorice and blueberry. Long finish. A persistent tartness that would make it better with food. Is this wine now in that awkward space between young and mature? Nevertheless, quite enjoyable.
