Sunday, December 24, 2023 - Random wines tasted during service (Oinoscent): Brought to drink at Oinoscent during service, bottle open 14.20, tasted after 1hr in a decanter
The wine feels reserved, rather closed at this point still, earthy, spicy notes, cooves, black pepper, dried red and black fruit flavors.
Palate with density, roasted flavors, spicy, a touc warm, thick old school oak frame (but in a good way), spicy notes, black currant notes, some dry herb nbotes, tight texture and tannic, long finish
With more time in the glass, you get a few bitter almond notes, the wine keeps expanding, tannins become juicier.
A truly beautiful wine, by all accounts youthful, it came from a magnum though.
