Wednesday, July 1, 2015 - Other 2 bottles untouched for almost 2 years (damn....surprised I have that much willpower!). This was practically served pop and pour, but was really ready to go from the word go. Nice and dense wine. Nose was great, quite a bit balanced with blackberry and violets. On the entry is a dark, soft, full bodied wine with blackberry cassis, vanilla, a little tar. Middle is soft, leather and rhubarb, blackberry core. Finish is with a fine grit tannin, lots of fine sediment in the last 50ml. Blackberry finish. Finished a little short, perhaps due to the tannin that just kind of soaked it up. Not really my favorite drinking Cimarossa at the moment......
