Saturday, October 15, 2022 - J.L. Chave Hermitage vertical tasting (Freiheit Vinothek, Ulm, Germany): Double decanted some hours before. Clear, deep golden colour. Beautiful smoky nose, very complex and deep with some ripe fruit and lime peel.
On the palate very fresh and completely different from 2011 and 2012. Never fat or chubby. Wonderful tension, great structure and balance. Very long and complex finish. Way better bottle than my previous one. Close to greatness. 94-95
