Tuesday, August 1, 2023 - [Blind] Challenging blind, I was in red Burgundy albeit in a darker more sous bois kind of place with hoisin and spice above darker secondary red fruit. Was thinking Meo Camuzet for the muddled / dark and stormy appearance. Palate is refined and elegant though. Unresolved but softening tannin. Freshened up with more air and added size and weight. I find '89 to be a bit of a roasty vintage across French regions. 93+
