Saturday, November 12, 2005 - TWC does Californian Pinot (Dennis and Karin's): Opened too early in the name of science. A very feminine wine and once the Rhonish nose of dark fruits blows off, there is lots of lovely cherry and raspberry fruit on the nose. In the mouth there is plenty of tannic grip along with the lovely fruit and a slightly bitter finish. Once the effects of a good decant were felt the wine opened up to reveal more nuanced fruit and more of a powerful grip. Good now, this wine is still coming together. Bags of potential.
