Community Tasting Note

Thursday, November 15, 2018 - Opened this about two hours before dinner yesterday. Initial nose reminded me of many over extracted alcoholic wines. Waited a total of threes hours before tasting. Very impressive. The high alcohol nose had diminished substantially and the dark fruits were very engaging.
I finished the remaining half of the bottle tonight and this is even better. The alcohol is unnoticeable on the nose. Taste is smooth, elegant dark fruits and some earthy elements.
If I had another bottle, my preference would be to open and decant at least five hours prior to serving.
